Seneschal:
o Sent in my Report
o I am Planning to attend Falling Leaves
o Toi made a Lovely Banner as did Duchess Anna, we
are going to be taking all of our banners to falling leaves. There is no Dayboard for Falling Leaves, We can put up a display (To
help Quintavia Grow).... Court will be at
Exchequer:
o 5,736.86 in bank account
o Report that will be going to Seneschal at the end of the month.
o Year end of report is coming up… if anyone is
interested in learning about Exchequer. She is not planning on being Exchequer
for ever…
Knight Marshall: (Voted on tonight)
o New Knight Marshall:
Arik Coer D'Luttere...A bunch of new people coming to practices in
the shire. Going to post some poll some new people about
Armor. TBD on Armor Classes at his house.
o Will make sure he has an ongoing list of Current
Fighters for notifications.
o Time is practice is now
Herald:
Hi I’m the herald, This just came up this past this month or so…
There is a new list that is for new heralds and people that are interested in
Heraldry, Possibly both Voice and Regular Heraldry..

Currently working on the letter of intent for EK Heralds.
Mistress of Arts and Science:
o Banner is Done. Yeah Banner… She has Belt
Favors…Lots of them!
o She has 3 classes that she wants to set up. Tuesday nights
o November 1st: wants to teach “Make a 16ft War Banner” Has allegiances as well
as your “Motto”… can also be done on a smaller scale.
o November 15th: Wants to also teach: “Courtly Graces”
o TBD: Duchess Katherine Stanhope wants to teach a class on scrolls/
Calligraphy and Illumination.
Marshall of Fence:
o No Report
Marshall of Siege:
o War season is more or less over. We can start doing stuff for next years
wars. We can build Siege engines, become a siege engineers, become
a siege rock person.
o We have the ear of the EK Siege General as well so
if I can’t do something, we can “kick it upstairs”
o Lots of stuff to do with Siege! Come do all sorts of stuff too!
o Kids that want to do a siege project for school, Harald will not DO the project for them but can point them
in the right direction for resources...
Chatelaine:
o Turned in my report. She seemed to be pretty happy had stuff to tell her about stuff coming up.
Historian: (given via Pat)
o She is out due to mundane Matters, She does have the “Quintavian Lives book” Anyone is not in her book, get something to her if you want to be in the book. Get it to either Vicki or an officer (Hard Copy is preferred), Physical print for picture. Brief persona story a “Who’s who of the shire”
Web minister:
o Schedules will be going up, if there is anything
that you want to see on the website, or find that doesn't work (either
Aesthetically or Physically) please let her know.
o Continuing to work on Links page and other pages....
Youth Combat Marshal: (Voted on tonight)
o First report: New marshal is Lord Kelvin MacGregor Hi! Will send stuff into Web minister.
o We are working on Armor. Hockey Equipment…. Play it
again sports is a good place to get stuff…
Chronicler: (Voted on tonight)
New Chronicler: Lady Dhanwanti
o People have come not wanting two positions (web
Mistress and Chronicler) connected.
o Duchess Anna Tarragon suggested a “6 month term
rather than a yearly” with option to renew. (Dhanwanti
agreed)
o Dhani Wants lots of Deputies to not be “Snowed
under” Chrystie Terry will be Deputy Editor and other
deputies are coming forward.
o Wants lots of writers so please submit articles to Dhanwanti
Shire Librarian:(New position Drucilla has put in a letter of intent)
o This is what she would like to do:
o People can Donate books to the library. These books can be borrowed (checked
out)... Possibly have a medieval “Book Club”
o Drucilla is the owner of Haunted Bookshop
o We will vote next month.
Old Business
o 20th Anniversary of Boredom War Boredom War
Meeting Date Set (September 13th 05) Set Date Bolton Fair Grounds map was
presented, and reviewed with our Autocrat. Further research and planning will
at the Boredom War Planning Meeting
o New Notes: Bolton Fair Grounds looks to be a terrific possibility. Our
meeting brought up more questions than answers, and we are unable to finalize
any finances or space until after the Bolton Fair Staff contact us this month.
(October 2005) (end of October / Beginning of November
we will meet with the people and get the site)..
o Boredom war for children
Toi came up with an idea of Faery
Spheres (Bubbles), would call them something else since she got the idea from
someone at Pennsylvania Ren. Faire.
and possibly have the kids make Kites with different
papers
o It has been encouraged that all persons involved in shire activities look around for event locations. Day events, demo sites, etc. Quintavia is central to several groups, and could host more cross-group events. Assabet Valley Regional Highschool. As a possibility for a site.. Scanadavian Athetlic club..
o Monthly Calendar for the Shire: The calendar has been updated, and we are
reviewing meeting times, heavy list times, and trying to get a proposed ‘class
list’ for those who want to do something specific while we’re all at practice
on a given Sunday. People who wish to teach classes, or attend specific classes
are encouraged to Email, or make suggestions to officers.
o Falling Leaves (Brigit/Toi)Shire Appearance, circulation, inter-court experience, tribute basket. Tribute is a Feast-type basket. Ornamentation referencing Carolingia and Quintavia completed. Duchess Anna had completed a new war banner for Quintavia. Quintavians are encouraged to wear shire colors – and there will be a decent procession for the Court at Carolingia.
o Fall Revel: A fall revel date should be selected.
November 6th has been suggested, due to the fall holiday schedule coming. Pot
Luck Style Feast – invite in Bergental and Carolingia.
New Business
Chancellor Minor – Minor activities.
These are the ideas that we would like the Chancellor Minor to oversee...there
may be more
o Youth Combat
o Youth Heraldry
o Youth A&S scheduled activities/classes.
o Youth Awards.
Sunday Classes – two weekends a month.
we would like to start scheduling classes two weekends
out of the month...if you have any suggestions, please contact an officer.

Quintavian Milestone
o New Electronic and Paper Publishing (we are working on how we want to handle
the milestone)

o Co-publication with the web-site. (we are looking to put it on the website as well...)

Spring Revel 2006
We are not sure on the Theme of the Revel yet, but we would like to do some
sort of Youth Combat Tourney with Awards.... but we also want to keep it
interesting for the adults as well....

o Bardic Guild – Registration for Bardic
Guild.
o Brewers Guild - looking to get one going
o Spinners/Weavers Guild - Looking to get one going
o Cooks guild - Looking to get one going as

There is the BoarsHead Festival – First
Congregational Church of Hartford every December (probably already sold out but
contact Harald Orn for details)
