Hello,
Well this should be the last month of winter. I stress the word should. So start thinking of camping events and all the fun you can have this summer.
Our Boy Scout demo went very well. The demo was for the entertainment at their award banquet. What little boy does not like to watch men hitting each other with big sticks. They were riveted to the fighters. And as for us ladies on the sidelines, I’d say we looked smashing. We had a lot of interest from the group, so thanks to all of those who made it. We got a nice donation from the scouts to top it off. One of the moms said to me “…last year we got reptiles, that does not compare to this! This is great!”
I’ve asking people whether or not we would want the shire to become a barony. One opinion in the shire is we are not ready because there are not enough active people. We do have a very small core group that comes to most of the practices. Nudge.. nudge we would love to see more folks at the practices. Another idea is if we were a barony then there would be an incentive to be active(more recognition for what you do ect..). Also some people feel that we lack pageantry because we are a shire and becoming a barony would give us more of that. This is true. I just wanted to bring up the idea to see if we wanted to start to talk about it. Not that I think we should try to become a barony tomorrow.
Now on another note. Please help your friendly neighborhood autocrat Isabel by volunteering to do some work at Boredom War. Even if you can only spare an hour or two it will really help.
And as always please email me with your ideas, articles or artwork at chronicler@quintavia.eastkingdom.org
Thank you,
