•Sent in Quarterly Report. Answered some email inquiries about the Shire
Exchequer:
•The Shire has $6,101.46 but there is an outstanding check for $100, leaving $6,001.46 available
•Third Quarter report is in, all is up to date.

Herald
•This position is open. Sofia submitted the only letter of intent. A vote will be held at the next meeting in December. Sofia will be running unopposed.

Mistress of Arts and Science
• Duchess Anna tarragon was voted in as the new MOAS.

Knight Marshall (Acting)
•Practices are continuing. Practice is taking place during the meeting.
•There is a regional practice in Groton on Nov. 21st.

• Most of the Punch Tester is finished; three parts remain to be aquired.

Old Business:
CROWN • Count Gaufred Kelson Von Heidleberg won the Fall Crown Tourney. He and Countess Geneviere d'Alsace are the new Prince and Princess.
• The weather was interesting, but it was a good weekend.
• Coronation photos were passed around -- Lots of shire members attended.

New Business:
• A Vote was taken on Minister of Arts and Sciences. Duchess Anna was elected.
• Two Letters of intent for Mistress/Minister of Arts and Sciences, have been recieved, one from Duchess Anne and one from Lord Faolan. This will mean a ballot voting at the November meeting.
• Shire Hafla will be on the 15th of January. Preparations are going well, Classes are filling up. The budget for the dessert board is $40.00, and a donation jar will be left out for people to contribute to the feast. Eleanor made the motion, Shawna seconded. The Budget was passed.
• The Dance Class in Groton needs a rider on the insurance, naming the facility here the class is held. The cost is $50.00 and the dancers want to cover the cost. They will be reimbursing the Shire for the additional money.
• The exchequer Symposium has been anounced in Pikestaff, and it is possible that the Society Exchequer will attend. We will need power strips for people's laptop computers. If anyone has a digital projector, it would be appreciated it it could be donated for the day.
• The East Kingdom University is on February 19th. Anyone wanting to teach a class needs to contact the Chancellor of the University However, it would be best until after Thanksgiving to do so. Half of the proceeds will go directly to the East Kingdom University, that is how they maintain the University. The Other half goes to the Hosting community.
• There was a discussion of Proxy Votes. The Current guidelines do not allow for proxy votes, as there has not been a need for them. A discussion wsa held about changing the guidelines to allow for proxy votes for contested Officer positions only. It was discussed that votes would have to be mailed in, that would mean the person submitting the vote is willing to put some effort into it. A vote on this issue will be held at the December meeting. Proxy votes will be permitted for this vote only
• Boredom War: A bid for the event at Singleterry Rod and Gun Club has been submitted for May 22nd. This is the weekened before the War of the Roses, but it is not mother's day. A conservative estimate of 300 day-trippers would cover the $300.00 cost of the site fee and additional fees for more porta-potties. The proposed budget is $1,350.00. There would be a Pilgrim's Feast on Saturday, a combination of feast and post-luck dinner. Shawna motioned and Damiean seconded the Motion. The budget passed unanimously.
