• This Position is open; a letter has been received from Lady Vicky, Who is currently organzing the shire records.

 

Mistress of Arts and Science

Knight Marshall NOT PRESENT (SENT REPORT)
•Reminder: Birka is the last saturday of the month.
•Seeking a substitute Marshall for trainings and practice when he is not present.

 

Minister of Fence:
• A Marshall from the Barony of the Bridge may come ot our sunday practices.
• The punch tester is nearly completed Only one part needs to be added.

 

Marshal of Siege Weapons:
•There are new Siege regulations for the Kingdom.
•We Will have two siege marshals in the Shire, Lord Faolan will be our second Siege Marshall.
•Next tuesday (jan. 18th) there is a siege meeting for all who are interested in learning about the art of Siege Warfare.
•The Revel in March will have a Siege theme to the event.

Chatelaine:
• Went up to the storage locker, and picked up some Gold Key for the Hafla
• Has one cape that needs repair.

 

Minister of Youth (OPEN):
This position is open

 

Web mistress: NOT PRESENT (SENT INFORMATION)
•Is Fixing Dates, and putting up the schedule.
•The Kingdom Web minister said almost 20 groups are using the Kingdom Website to host their pages.
The provider is charging a larger Fee. A proposed solution would be for the local areas to contribute $60 per year to the Web maintanence for the Kingdom.
•This was discussed at the meeting, and it felt that this is too much. Alternate hosting companies will be investigated. There are many companies that host Websites.

Chronicler:
•You are reading the current Chronicler's report •have photographs of Shire events that will be available to the historian in order to complete the Shire History records.

Old Business:

New Business:
• A vote was taken to accept Toi Poisson de Mortangne as our new Chatelaine. It passed unanimously.
• The meeting on Tuesday (Jan. 18). will be an informational meeting about siege.
• The Hafla is Saturday the 14th,.
• The Exchequer symposium is ready, exchequers have been notified. A projector ha been obtained for use with a laptop. Quintavia will be the example used to show exchequers how to do their books. Local restaurants do deliver, and donuts will be available.
• All questions about teaching a class for the East Kingdom University should go to Lady Andrea
• Susana sent out questionnaires about the EKU, to determine what paperwork is necessary. The fixed cost is around $550.00. The event is to be held in garb.
• There will be a shire revel on Sunday March 6th. Bring a potlick dish, and we'll wear garb. Lord Graywolf will be present and there will be a mini-siege contest during the event.
• Duncan Forbes received an inquiry about doing a ademo on February 11th, but that is a short amount of notice. It probably won't happen unless someone wants to take on a large amount of work.
• The Girl Scount event in Westborough will involve our people coming in carb, and they requested a demonstration of heavy-list fighting. This is a father-daughter dance. Toi has given the Girl Scouts information on making garb for themselves. She has made some sets of Veil pins, and there will be a table there for Arts and Sciences.
• Boredom War is on track. The fencing will take place in a simulated "bar-room brawl" setting.
• Just a note: Lady Vicky is one of the Shire Elders; she joined back before the Quintavia name, when it was called the Shire of Bryn Canol. She is working on a history of the Shire and is accepting assistance with the History Project. When finished, we will put all the information into a History Book for the shire.
